Why GIRLS wear Makeup?

Why is it that the cosmetic industry is expanding drastically... is it that we as girls and probably guys also seek for makeup when it comes to looking good, why might that be the case for some people? Why do girls even wear makeup, I ask myself sometimes? Why do I wear makeup, maybe I just follow the majority, because I know if makeup did not exist my life would have been much easier in the mornings and also much scarier for some people too ( to see my drained face every morning without makeup!) sometime I thank those who produce makeup because they allow us to try out new products and also makeup for me is a source of confidence, I can cope without makeup so it’s not because I’m self-conscious and want to hide my face under makeup but I want to enhance it, I always wear makeup very lightly and do full makeup occasionally. Are we living in a society where we just want to please other people or just want to be the best and look the best! Back in the day’s people would have worn makeup for different reasons to the reasons we use in society today and ages that would wear makeup is totally different nowadays my 3 year old cousin knows how to apply lipstick and eyeshadows! Also we are living in a consumerist culture where even if we buy all the makeup in the world it still will not be enough because until the cosmetic industry stop making makeup our collections will not stop getting bigger. I can walk out without wearing any makeup, no problem at all... but can you? It’s best to once in a while free the face from makeup and I do that every month where I do not wear makeup for a complete week.
